Day 01 - Tuesday 11 May 2010
 
0430hrs Meet at LCCT departure lounge to catch Flight AK 255 - 0630hrs. 
0900hrs After breakfast at Colombo, Depart for Anuradhapura - a Unesco recognised World Heritage Site some 200 km and takes 6 hours due to poor road conditions. Lunch along the way.
 
Visit Sri Maha Bodhi Temple - the Sacred Bodhi Tree that was grown from a cutting brought from Bodhigaya in India by the Princess Sangamitta - sister to King Mahinda who introduced Buddha's teachings to Sri Lanka.
Meditation for 30 minutes.
 
The whole area at the Sri Maha Bodhi, the Brazen Palace and the Ruvanelisaya Dagoba are part of the Great Temple. Offerings and Festivities in the First and Second Week of April every year.
2000hrs Dinner and Free at Leisure.
 
Day 02 Wednesday 12 May 2010
 
0700hrs  Depart for Pollonnaruwa - enroute Sri Lankan Breakfast.
0900hrs  In 1982 Unesco added the Ancient city of Pollonnaruwa to its World Heritage List. There were constant attacks from the South Indian Chola Dynasty.
 
After lunch at Minnariya, visit the Sigiriya Rock Fortress - a Rock Mass hardened by Magma Plug of an extinct Volcano that long ago eroded away, formed into natural cave shelters and rock overhangs - supplemented by hand-hewn modifications. The rock was inhabited in Prehistoric times. Visit the Dambulla Temple.
2000hrs  Dinner at Dambulla. Check in &  Free at Leisure.
 
Day 03 Thursday 13 May 2010
 
0700hrs  After breakfast, depart for Kandy.
Kandy - 2nd largest city on the Island is also a Unesco Site, lies amidst Hills and Tropical PLantations of tea.
0900hrs Visit the Paradeniya Botanical & Spice Gardens.
1300hrs  Lunch at Mahaweli Beach Hotel and check in.
1600hrs  Visit Temple of Tooth Relic of Lord Biddha - the Holiest Place of Worship and Pilgrimage of the Buddhists around the world. Visit the National Museum of Kandy.
1830hrs  Cultural Show - the best in Kandy.
2000hrs  Dinner and free at leisure.
 
Day 04  Friday 14 May 2010
 
0500hrs  Depart Kandy for Galle (Pronounced "Gaul"). Galle is a beach resort way down south - another heritage site with forts and harbour.
Enroute breakfast at the Elephant Orphanage.
Continue into Ratnapura - the GEM CITY for some shopping.
After lunch, city tour of Galle and its surrounds. Check in to a beach hotel.
 
Day 05 Saturday 15 May 2010
 
0600hrs  Depart for Colombo , enroute breakfast and visit Mr Geoffrey Bawa's residence - an architect of International repute.
After lunch at Colombo, tour of the city.
Free at leisure. 
1800hrs BBQ Dinner + Interraction with Tour Guides, travel bodies and the people of Sri Lanka at Rockhouse. This dinner is hosted by my business associate Mr Deshapriya Pathirana - the Chairman of Rockhouse.
 
Day  06 Sunday 16 May 2010
0400hrs  Depart for Colombo Airport to head for home.
