SARAWAK EDUCATION TRIP ITINERARY
Day 1 ( 28th July ) K.L.-Miri-Niah
Arrival at Niah NP ETA 1130 hrs with Lunch at Niah Canteen.(Lunch)
• After lunch, we having optional program- briefing on Park Management &
Sustainable Yield Management of
Bird nests at Niah NP
• After briefing, crossing with wooden boat to visit to Archaeological museum
• Proceed on foot along 3.2 km plank walk under Tropical Rainforest of various
eco-type of vegetation.
• Arrival at Great caves
• Proceed to Painted cave being
• Return to Longhouse RH. Patrick and meet the Headman & residents
Dinner with the local community(Dinner)
• Experiencing the traditional & cultural dances, performances of Iban
community and having a taste of Rice Wine “Tuak”
• Overnight at Longhouse
STAY:LONG HOUSE
Day 2 ( 29th July ) Niah-Miri-Mulu
Early breakfast
• Packing of luggage
• Leave the longhouse and having words to Headman and residents
• Proceed back on foot along the plank walk to Niah NP
Headquarters
• Visit to local bird nests processing area to experience how it is being
processed
Lunch at Niah/Miri
• Transfer to Miri, on the way of Coastal highway to stop local community
hawker stalls for observing the sale of local products
• Proceed to Miri airport ETD 1300 hrs and en-route to Mulu by Maswings ATR 72
MH3255 1450 hrs
• Arrival at Mulu ETA 1520 hrs and transfer to Park Headquarters
• Briefing about the 3 days activities in Mulu

Day 3 ( 30th July ) Mulu (cave of the Wind ,Clearwater, Deer and Langs )
Early breakfast

Day 4 ( 31st July ) Mulu(canopy tour-adventure cave)

Day 5 ( 1st August ) Mulu-Miri
Breakfast at Park HQ
• Arrival from Mulu by Maswings ATR 72 MH3631 ETA 1045 hrs
Lunch at Miri
• Transfer by air-cond. Bus to Petroleum Museum at Canada hill and Native
product market “ Tamu Muhibba” and Handicraft shops in the city
• Check-in to Park Hotel
• Free & easy
Dinner of local dishes-own
• Overnight at Park Hotel
STAY: PARK HOTEL
Day 6 ( 2nd August ) Miri-K.L.
Early breakfast at hotel
• Visit to Sarawak Forestry Regional Office at Wisma Pelita
Tunku for a briefing on
Protected areas & Biodiversity Conservation and Environmental Educational
Program
Local lunch at restaurant
• Free & easy- shopping at famous outlets in Miri City or visit to Bird nests
outlet at China Town
• Back to hotel for check-out
• Transfer to airport at 1615 hrs
• Check-in at
Miri airport for AK5187 ETD 1740 hrs for Home-sweet-home
Requirement
Rain coat, Good trekking shoes, nature guide wear(tracksuit) and
Drinking water,
Chocolate bars to sustain hunger, Torch light, Insect repellence, Sun lotion,
Backpack ( required to bring your
personal belongings including drinking water while trekking ).
Important Note
While trekking, always follow the instruction of the Guide and never go off
from the track and always keep him/her informed if you want to move away. If
you required something, always approach your Guide.

from park headquarters
